Good to know

Our family-run hotel is idyllically situated in the hamlet of Maria Sares, nestling in picturesque meadows and forests. The pilgrimage chapel and our little gem are in the centre of the hamlet.
It consists of 4 individual houses, each with its own charm.
The centrepiece is our main building, which houses the Classic rooms, some of the country house rooms and some of the suites, as well as the reception and our restaurant.

Directly opposite, connected by an underground passageway, is the country house. Here, cosy country house rooms and the library await you.

Opened in 2016, the imHaus with its suites was added to our business.

Our latest addition melding into our ensemble is the spa complex by the idyllic natural bathing pond which invites you to relax and unwind.

Somewhat secluded and yet in the heart of Val Pusteria. The ideal place to:

RELAX:
The spa complex is perfect in all weathers. Swim, take a sauna or just chill.
Everyone is free to do whatever they like.
Maybe sit by the wood-fired oven in the library, hot drink in hand, browsing selected titles.
Treat yourself to a sensitive massage.

Our South Tyrolean breakfast buffet in the conservatory, with crusty homemade bread, homemade cakes, jams and compotes, wholesome mueslis, organic herbal teas and fresh free-range farm eggs.
In summer you can also have breakfast on the terrace beneath the apple trees.

In the evening we serve a regional-Mediterranean menu, traditional or vegetarian/vegan, with fragrant seasonal herbs from our garden and organic produce from our own farm and the surrounding area.

To enable us to cater for allergies and intolerances, please notify us in advance. You can also book bed and breakfast.

The hotel can look back on a long history. In order to preserve the charming fabric of the building as much as possible, we have left the original floor plans largely unchanged. This leads to the smaller Classic rooms in the main building, which can also be rented for single use at an extra charge.
We are a historically grown hotel. Wheelchair access therefore requires some detours. Due to the structural conditions, there is no lift in the main building and the country house.
There are, however, lifts in the spa complex and the imHaus.
There is plenty to do at the Saalerwirt:
Fun in the indoor pool with pleasantly warm water, natural bathing pond, games room with table football, games table, climbing wall and a play area with outdoor equipment.
There are numerous exciting activities around the Saalerwirt that are especially suitable for families with children.
We serve dinner in the inviting atmosphere of our conservatory. Highchairs and children’s tableware are provided. The little ones can have dinner by arrangement from 6:15 hrs.
Please notify us if you are bringing a dog. We have a number of rooms/suites available for your stay, which you can share with your dog for an additional charge.
Dogs do not have access to the natural swimming pond, the spa complex and the historic parlours.
For breakfast and dinner with your dog, we will reserve a table for you in the Gaststube parlour.
Any damage or soiling caused by your dog will be charged at the hotel’s discretion. There is a dog waste bin in the car park.
