The Pustertal, a green valley on the edge of the pale Dolomite mountains.

With its past full of history, lush green landscape, living traditions and modern lifestyle, there is plenty here to discover and experience.

The Saalerwirt is just a few kilometres from the city of Bruneck, the centre of the Kronplatz-Pustertal holiday region. The hotel is therefore an ideal starting point for numerous cultural attractions, inspiring climbs to the summits of the Dolomites and for wonderful outings to mountain pastures and lakes, for example the Pragser Wildsee, the largest mountain lake in the Dolomites; the peaks of the Drei Zinnen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; the archaeology museum of Mansio Sebatum at St. Lorenzen; MMM Corones on the Kronplatz, the sixth of Reinhold Messner's museums, which addresses traditional alpinism and features impressive architecture; while the lively and attractive city of Bruneck is around ten minutes away by car... We will also be pleased to offer you personal suggestions for your excursions.

Brunico: The town is located at Rienza River and was founded in the 13th century. Brunico lies at 840 metres above sea level. Being the biggest town in the eastern part of South Tyrol, Brunico is the economic, political and cultural centre of the Puster Valley.

Brunico Castle: Brunico Castle thrones above the town on a hill. Today, Brunico Castle hosts the fifth MMM – Messner Mountain Museum by Reinhold Messner.

South Tyrol's Museum of Ethnography in Teodone: According to the ADAC leisure time atlas, this is one of the most beautiful outdoor museums in Europe. The open-air area shows old farm houses and handcraft rooms which provide an insight into the various types of houses and farms.
